Scarecrow Week

Our fourth annual Scarecrow Week! Home-made scarecrows begin appearing around the village from Monday 2nd September and stay up for one week. If you live in the village please make a scarecrow and put it in your front garden or safely on a verge. If you live nearby and would like to join in, we will find a place for your scarecrow at Sturdy’s Farm if you can bring it here and contact Bev on 07432 204994. 

They will be judged for competition: best made by a child (under 16), best made by and adult (over 16), with cash prizes for third, second and first places, also most original idea, funniest scarecrow and a trophy for the overall winner. There will be a display of photos at the Old School to help people choose their favourites to vote for at the Fun Day on Saturday 7th September. Everyone who makes a scarecrow will receive a box of chocolates.
